[Rayne had let Raistlin into the CES so he could see his moons, all visible to everyone that night. His journal has clearly been discarded on a rock, and is sitting at an angle, showing the three moons of Krynn, which have lined up perfectly, one in front of the other. The one in back is white, the one in the middle is red, and the one in front is black. It resembles an eye. Raistlin gazes up at it a moment, letting his hood fall back and then reaches up...before hesitating. He then whispers.] "You aren't really real, are you? It's an illusion, nothing more."

[He grabs his journal and heads out, but when he opens the door...he sees weeds growing in the hallway. Seeing this as an omen, he turns around, facing the three moons again.]

"Lunitari?" [He pauses.] "Nuitari? Certainly not Solinari." [But certainly a god, in his mind, had to have made the CES expand over the Barge.]

[Chromie appears without a sound and speaks softly.]

Who are they?

[Raistlin turned quickly, startled. However, he managed to otherwise maintain a calm demeanor.] They are the moons. They are the gods of magic.

"Nuitari is the black moon, and the god of evil magic. Lunitari is the red moon, and the goddess of neutral magic, and Solinari is the white moon, the god of good magic."

They're lovely.

We have two on Azeroth, the White Maiden and the Blue Child. The former is Elune, queen of the stars, in Kaldorei culture, but the Blue seems not to be anything. Some day we really must find out.

[He nodded.] Most people don't typically see the black moon. It's invisible most of the time, but on this night, the three moons line up.

How often does it happen?

Though the festival is celebrated every year at this time, the moons themselves only align like this once every three years.

That is when they are at the peak of their power.

I am glad I got to see it, even if it is just an illusion.

I'd rather see the real thing.
